Bartilotti Produções continues, in 2005, to affirm its place in the world market. Between the 26th and 30th of October the company will attend the WOMEX 2005, Exhibition, the most important contemporary World Music fair, which is taking place this year in the UK, in Newcastle. In February, Bartilotti Produções also participated in the music fair Strictly Mundial, which was held in Montreal, Canada.

In November of this year, just as occurred in 2004, Bartilotti Produções will be vitally involved in the organisation of “ENCONTROS ALCULTUR ” (a conference of culture held annually in Portugal). This year the conference is taking place in Faro, the Portuguese capital of culture 2005. Throughout 2005 Bartilotti Produções has produced important cultural events in areas as diverse as Dance, Music, Theatre, Themed Parties and Animation. In all, more than a hundred events have taken place all over Portugal and abroad. Some highlights were:

Margarida Guerreiro
After presenting her first DVD at the Strictly Mundial World Fair in Montreal, Margarida Guerreiro has steadily developed a solid, confident performance which will soon be transformed into a brand new music and dance project involving internationally recognised performers.

Frei Fado d’el Rei
Currently enjoying an excellent phase in their career, this band has been winning over new audiences, with enormous success in Spain. Frei Fado d’el Rei are currently preparing for a tour of theatres and auditoriums in Holland in March of next year.
In addition to this project, next year the group will publish the DVD of their album ‘Frei Fado d’el Rei In Concert’. The many excellent reviews of the concert include the following from Dutch Music Magazine ‘New Folk Sounds’ (edition 16 Dec 2004/Jan 2005).
“The Portuguese group Frei Fado d’el Rei has, over the past 14 years, achieved notoriety with a truly characteristic repertoire. ‘In Concert’ is their first live album, recorded in June 2003. It was recorded in the Monastery of Leça do Balio on the occasion of the celebration of the first millenium of this great monument. In this work we experience, both symbolically and poetically, an inspiring moment, in a unique environment, with musicians on a search for their musical roots, located at the foundations of the Portuguese nation. From this moment, the group produces its most beautiful songs ever and here present the ‘best of’ Frei Fado d’el Rei.
